How to care for natural silk products?

Proper washing, drying, and ironing of fabrics can extend their wear considerably. If you properly care for the fabrics, they will not only last longer, but also will not lose their original, attractive appearance. It's no secret that some complaints about fabric quality and sewing are caused by its use outside of the rules.

Natural silk - subtly soft, light, some types - particularly shiny or pleasantly matte. Silk threads have exceptional strength, they can withstand strong pressure and are very resistant to tearing. All this will last if you care for the silk according to the instructions attached to the product or if you follow our advice:

Hand wash / machine wash - no more than 30°C, using the "silk"or"delikates"operation.

The final rinse is recommended with vinegar, which restores the silk's shine.

Bleaching is prohibited. Use only natural fabric softeners for silk.

Do not dry in an electric dryer.

Wring the washed clothes gently by hand, do not shake the wet fabric.

Ironing is only possible from the wrong side at low temperature. Steam can be used.

Occasionally it is advisable to air the fabric in a cool room (e.g. -20°C). This cold kills the eggs of moths, which are extremely fond of natural materials.

Regular airing of clothes does not leave any smell, and washing can be postponed for up to 2 weeks!

Remember that silk fibers are weakened by sweat, deodorants and direct sunlight. Silk fabric is damaged by cosmetics containing alcohol (perfume, hair, nail polish, etc.).
